“The spreading war caused thousands of innocent people to flee from their homes, possibly forever. Countless refugees flocked to our small village from all directions, looking for a glimmer of hope. Our mission as Christians is not only to comfort their wounded hearts, but also to bring the light of the Gospel into their chaotic world.
Our church was empowered by your partnership to respond to the crisis in our community. 11 pastors and I set up an emergency shelter to provide food, water, and medicine. This is a temporary place to stay, where we care in Jesus’ name and hope to sow the seeds of the Gospel in their hearts. We live with them, pray for them, share God’s Word, and listen to their cries about everything they have lost.
Many refugees heard the Gospel for the first time, some with light in their eyes, and some shed tears of repentance. In this process, we’ve seen lives surrendered to God, with many finding the meaning of life again in Christ’s love. What they need most after being displaced by the war is not only material supplies but also love from heaven.
Your partnership created practical help in their lives. This is a testimony of your love and a manifestation of God’s grace. Through your support, these souls have seen the light in the darkness and felt the warmth and care from God’s family.
