Former Adversary Becomes Evangelist

“In the midst of the violent war in our nation, God is turning hearts towards Him. The most surprising thing is that the war-torn areas are now open to the Gospel. Those who once persecuted Christian ministers are now listening and responding to the Gospel. Hearts and minds are being opened, and through the Trauma Counselling sessions, many people have been impacted.

Many are receiving Christ through the work of evangelists like Kaleb*. He was sharing the Gospel boldly in a local village. Unbeknownst to him, a man named Ahmed* was nearby listening to him speak. Ahmed was a former soldier who became a robber. Many people were injured and lost property through his crimes.

After six months of reflecting on what he’d heard, Ahmed knew he needed Jesus and began looking for Kaleb to help him. Finding the Christian church, Ahmed ran to the altar and declared he wanted to be saved! Since then, Ahmed has been baptized and discipled by local Christians. After training, he is now an evangelist like Kaleb, sharing the Good News of Jesus with many more!

Seeing God’s power at work through moments like these has strengthened the church. Evangelists are willing to sacrifice their life to continue their ministries. They are sharing Jesus in villages, streets, and marketplaces.

Because the Spirit of God is with them, they are still serving in times of trouble and times of joy. Thank you for partnering alongside persecuted leaders who are bringing Jesus to many!”
