Nadi*’s church was empowered by the support of partners like you to bring hope to a secluded mountain village. They lived in isolation, with very little contact to the outside world. While they were neglected by others, Nadi knew that Jesus hadn’t forgotten them.
The villagers were not used to outsiders and felt wary when Nadi first arrived. The church spent the following weeks demonstrating the Gospel by serving their community in practical ways. When the elderly fell ill, church members would stay at their bedsides to offer prayer and medical aid.
Over time, meaningful relationships developed. A powerful moment happened as Nadi shared about the love and salvation of Jesus. The villagers listened as church members shared how their lives were transformed by the Gospel. A young man, moved by their stories, said, “If this is true, then this is what we have been missing.”
This divine moment strengthened Nadi and her church. More and more villagers began participating in their gatherings and wanted to learn more about Jesus. Several villagers shed tears during worship, and they lamented, “It turns out that God has always loved us, but we never knew it.”
After several months of building relationships, the village now has a group of people who’ve accepted Christ! People of all ages gather in humble structures, filling them with the presence of the Holy Spirit.
