Empowering Refugee Churches Amidst Crisis and Conflict

“I’m grateful for your help and support. My country’s been in a long war, plus we had a major earthquake recently. Many people, including my family, became refugees with nowhere to go. Our work as church leaders hasn’t changed, but the location of our ministry keeps changing because we have no place to live.

Your partnership empowers us as church leaders to continue our service to the community. Because we no longer have a stable home or church building, we make an effort to visit families in their homes. Many open their hearts during visits and confide their pain, struggles, or doubts. God is at work through these honest conversations. Whether it is laughter or tears, we listen patiently and encourage them with God’s words.

You’ve equipped us to keep meeting and read the Bible, pray, and sing hymns together. This time is precious – it’s as if God speaks personally, allowing every person to feel His presence and guidance again during this time of crisis. Even a familiar passage of scripture can bring new light at a specific moment, becoming comfort or strength.

Our visits are not only part of pastoral work, but also a testimony of the Lord Jesus personally ministering to us in our time of struggle.

I pray that we may we all cherish spiritual companionship, and that we as pastors can continue to bring God’s comfort to families. Thank you for your partnership that strengthens us to continue serving to the community in Jesus’ name!”
