Kywe* was a well-respected leader in his small church. Serving in a tucked away village in Myanmar, he longed to see the impact the Gospel could make for generations to come. Many in the area devoutly followed the traditional religion, believing they must earn spiritual rewards.
When Kywe planted his house church, the community began to be changed by the Gospel! Learning that there was a God who loved them unconditionally and offered salvation was life-altering for many.
Kywe was desperate to see his village transformed, but many were hostile towards him. Even those interested in Jesus were afraid of the repercussions for converting.
This is why Kywe needed your help. He knew that his messages needed to be grounded in biblical truth to be accepted by skeptics. When he learned about WSBC, Kywe knew this was the answer to transforming his village forever!
Serving somewhere so remote, there were no other opportunities like WSBC available to him. Just in the first few sessions alone, Kywe learned so much about the Bible! His eyes were opened to the richness of the scriptures and the fullness found on every page.
“I used to grab any part of a story and focus on the theme I wanted to preach about. Now I understand everything is part of the whole story and has an intended place where it is,” Kywe shared.
He’s thrilled to use all of the knowledge he’s gleaned in his community. Now, when Kywe is faced with challenging questions about how God’s love changes us and how we care for others, he has the tools to answer them and point them to Jesus!
