War-Torn Region Sees Unexpected Surge in Faith

Church planter Abebe* shared that after the war, something extraordinary began to happen—people started coming to him, a stark contrast to the past. In his area, witnessing about Christ was not only forbidden, but it also carried the deadly risk of being stoned to death. Those who turned to Christ came from deeply radicalized backgrounds, facing severe threats to their lives. Yet, they sought Christ for His love, peace, and healing. “God opened this opportunity out of a sea of hopelessness, trauma, and the displacement of people. In the last six months, 64 souls have been drawn to our church regularly. Out of those, 34 accepted Christ, and just two weeks ago, 13 were baptized. We have never seen anything like this before.”
