“My name is Veronica*. When I was 21, I gave birth to my precious son, Roberto*. I was so excited to be a mother. But my husband abandoned us when we realized Roberto had a complicated disability.
We managed to survive just the two of us, but in recent times the economy here grew unstable and costs have inflated far beyond our reach. The monthly amount we receive towards Roberto’s care is now only enough to sustain us for one week. I couldn’t afford food, or the medications he needed.
Now, thanks to you, we have help and a community around us!
When some people from the church approached us, I was a little nervous. But I felt somewhere deep inside of me there was a God who was going to take care of us. Now, I’m so grateful to be part of weekly church meetings for other families just like us!
This group has supported me both spiritually and financially in the most difficult moments. The Pastor gives me so much useful counsel and encouragement through every difficult season. On top of this emotional support, I’ve received so much help with Roberto’s care. Through you, I’ve received medication, transportation, food for Roberto’s special diet, and other necessities.
We’ve seen the hand of God through you because of how you pray and care for us. I would like you to know that we also pray for you every Wednesday.
