Full of compassion and a burning desire to make a difference in Jesus’ name, Htet began offering children Chinese lessons using God’s love as a guidepost. Youth from all different backgrounds came not only learn Chinese, but also valuable life lessons from Scripture, hymns, and more.
The classroom quickly became more than just a place of learning, but a sanctuary and a family! Here, they didn’t need to worry about the war raging on or their struggles to survive.
Your partnership enabled Htet to ensure each young person’s basic needs are met by providing them with a nourishing meal. You helped him go a step further by establishing a small orphanage within the community. Here, youth are safe and cared for by dedicated teachers who treat them as their own children.
Young lives are being transformed by Htet’s Gospel-centered ministry! He faces great risk from anti-Christian sentiments. The spread of hate speech, discrimination, and violence against Christians has escalated, resulting in numerous incidents of attacks on churches, pastors, and Christian communities.
