Andres* was tired of feeling different. There were so many activities he couldn’t be a part of. He’d watch the kids in his town play sports together, unable to join in. Andres was born with a condition that makes it hard for him to walk, talk, and write. He needs to use a wheelchair to get around. Sometimes kids were cruel to him, making fun of him for his condition. Andres had a hard time believing he was worthy of love from these experiences.
Things began to change when you brought children’s ministry to him! At first, Andres was a bit nervous. Spending time with his peers in a group setting usually didn’t go well. But for the first time in his life, Andres got to feel like a regular kid. More than that—he now knows that he’s a loved child of God!
His children’s ministry leaders went above and beyond to create games and activities that he could get involved in. They serve each child boldly in the face of persecution. The other children welcomed him with open arms in a way Andres had never experienced with other kids before. The love of God is real and active in children’s ministries taking place in local churches all over the world thanks to you!
“The best moments of my life are at children’s ministry,” Andres shares. “I forget that I’m in a wheelchair whenever I’m here. It’s so much fun, and I want to thank God and you for it!”
Thank you for blessing Andres and other children with children’s ministry!
