San Win* held his baby brother and studied his sweet face. In what should’ve been a precious moment, San Win’s heart was heavy with sadness. He feared what life would become for them. On the day the baby was born, their father was shot and killed. San Win tried his best to help his mother in any way that he could, but he was only a child. As is custom, their mother left them behind once she remarried to start her new family. The boys were now in the care of their elderly grandparents. Even in the midst of such difficult circumstances, San Win was grateful he had his grandparents to care for them. Many other kids in similar circumstances didn’t have another family member to go to. A few years later, their grandmother passed away. Their grandfather was still alive, but he was in poor health and was very elderly. Once again, San Win found himself in a situation where he and his brother were in desperate need of care. He tried his best to look after himself, his brother, and his grandfather. God heard San Win’s cries for help. Pastor Bo Hla* was contacted by the local pastor and asked if there was any room in the Children’s Care Home for the boys. Ever since that moment, San Win’s life transformed. No longer did he need to worry about how to care for himself and his little brother! “Living in the Children’s Care Home is one of the great blessings in my life. I don’t worry about what to eat or what to wear. I’ve come to know that there is Someone who cares for me.” You are a part of San Win’s story of hope. Without you supporting him, San Win’s life would look very different. Since joining the Care Home, San Win has blossomed and is thriving. He’s learned about Jesus who loves him unconditionally, which has been a source of healing after the painful experiences he’s had. “My mother left us when she remarried. But God never left us and opened a door for us to come here. We became a part of this family!” San Win dreams of becoming an evangelist when he grows up, so he can tell everyone of the story of God’s love and faithfulness!
