Chesa* was terrified as gun shots drew closer and closer to her village. Her childhood in a rural village had turned upside down. In the midst of the pandemic, civil war erupted. The fighting reached them. Chesa was inconsolable as she and her family fled the village her family lived in for generations with panic in their hearts.
They made it out, and struggled living as refugees in an unfamiliar place. Her parents worked tirelessly but could barely earn enough for food. There was no way for her to receive education or thrive in the midst of a long-lasting and ongoing war. Chesa’s heart ached for the peaceful life she once lived.
Everything changed when you helped her! Chesa received refuge at the Children’s Care Home. Pastor Cho* runs the Home and provides each child with the care they deserve. Now, Chesa doesn’t have to worry about accessing food, shelter, or education. Everything she needs is available to her because of your care! Additionally, these Homes are built on a foundation of Christ—every child experiences the Gospel here and learns about Jesus.
