Each day Khai* and his siblings struggled to survive. Although his parents were alive, they couldn’t provide the care they needed. His dad constantly looked for work, which is especially challenging in the midst of war and the pandemic. Meanwhile, Khai’s mom was very ill. He and his siblings often needed to care for themselves because of these circumstances. His stomach rumbled most nights when he went to sleep, and there was no school in their village. Harmful substances were easily accessible and Khai found it very tempting to find escape this way with the other young people in the village.
You provided Khai with hope for his future! His life truly transformed when he arrived at the Children’s Care Home. As Khai describes, “I think God was protecting me from very terrible things by bringing me here.” Now, Khai receives quality education, food, clothing and shelter thanks to you. He’s so grateful that you provide care for him!
In addition to this, Khai learned about who Jesus is through Pastor Htat* who runs the Children’s Care Home. “By the grace of God and your prayers, I was inspired to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I know that this was as a result of the Holy Spirit’s work in my heart.” Thank you for being a part of Khai’s journey with Christ!
