When both of Htoi*’s parents passed away he had little hope. Not only was he grieving the loss of his parents, but his future too. There was no possible way for him to afford schooling, or even his basic needs on his own. Your support gave Htoi the gift of his future! At the Children’s Care Home, Htoi is learning valuable skills that will help him throughout his entire life.
Not only is he preparing for his future through his studies, but he gets to enjoy life with friends! Many children in Htoi’s situation need to grow up very quickly to earn a living for themselves. No child should have to worry about their next meal or where they will sleep safely each night. Here in the safety of the home, Htoi is able to build meaningful friendships. Even as war and the pandemic are taking place, he has the gift of his childhood.
